A.A.’s Twelfth Step suggests that we carry the message of recovery. That is the basic service that A.A. provides. Any action that helps A.A. to function as a whole is service.

Intergroup Office Volunteer
Central Office requires volunteers to keep the doors open longer. The shifts are from 1pm-4pm, Monday to Friday. We will work based on your schedule and flexibility. Training is provided, we welcome all skill levels.
Responsibilities
-Assisting with administration and sales
-Phone answering and information providing
- Length: 2 Months (8 shifts)
- Time Commitment: 3 hours a week
- Suggested Length of Sobriety: 3 Months
12 Step Volunteers
12 Step volunteers connect with new members or those struggling. This can be done in person (in pairs) or via phone calls.
Responsibilities
-Listening to newcomers stories
-Directing newcomers to meetings
-Visiting the home of an alcoholic (in pairs upon request)
- Length: Variable (Volunteers Choice)
- Time Commitment: Call Volume dependent (low)
- Suggested Length of Sobriety: 1 Year
After Hour Calls
Volunteers help us manage after hour calls. These calls typically include general information, meeting times, forwarding to 12 step volunteers.
Responsibilities
-Supplying general information
-Recording and forwarding information to 12 step volunteers
- Length: 2 Months (8 shifts)
- Time Commitment: 1 evening a week
- Suggested Length of Sobriety: 3 Months
Drivers/Rides
Looking for those are available to take newcomvers and those who are returning members to meetings.
Responsibilities
-Valid Drivers License
-Arranging and driving newcomers and returning members to meetings
- Length: (Volunteers Choice)
- Time Commitment: Variable (low)
- Suggested Length of Sobriety: 3 Months
