The BC/Yukon Area 79 voting assembly is being held on Zoom Friday, October 22nd to Sunday, October 24th.
Registration to attend is required. Registration link can be found on Nanaimoaa.org under Announcements and Events.

Intergroup: a Chair and Co-Chair were elected on the last Intergroup Meeting and a Member at Large position has become available. Information on the role can be found on Nanaimoaa.org under Announcements and Events.

Clearview Detox: double vaccination will be required to speak and chair detox meetings as of October 26th. If you’re interested in speaking and chairing a detox meeting, contact information of the detox chairs can be found on Nanaimoaa.org under Announcements and Events.

Literature and medallions are available for purchase. For the Nanaimo-Ladysmith area please email nanaimoaa.literature@shaw.ca. For Parksville to Ucluelet please email district6.literature@shaw.ca.

The BC/Yukon Area 79 October Voting Assembly is taking place on Zoom this Friday, October 22nd at 6pm to Sunday, October 24th at 5pm.

Intergroup position available: Member at Large

With the election of an Intergroup Chair, a Member at Large position is now available.

To learn more about the position please attend our next Operating Committee meeting (Wed., Oct. 27th at 6:30pm; same Zoom login ID and password as the Intergroup meeting), Intergroup meeting (Wed., Nov. 10th at 6:30pm) or contact the Intergroup Chair for more information.

There are also two other Members at Large currently on the Operating Committee.

Job description:

Members at Large currently are required to be present in order for any business to be conducted at the Operating Committee Meetings. Members at Large offer advice on the Traditions, Concepts and appropriate processes as required during the meetings. Members at Large may be asked to liaison with employees or volunteers. Knowledge of the Twelve Traditions and previous service experience would be helpful and barring that, a willingness to learn.
2-year term.
Probable time commitment is 4-6 hours a month.
Suggested length of sobriety is three years
